Generative AI in Higher Ed: Tips and Tricks from IR/IE Professionals Part 3

While many IR/IE offices have not yet fully explored generative AI, its potential to increase efficiency and effectiveness is widely recognized. In this third installment of the series, IR/IE professionals demonstrate practical applications of generative AI in their daily work. Two presenters will show how they use AI to diagnose error messages encountered while using R or SAS and to assist in converting legacy SAS code into modern programming languages like R. A third presenter will demonstrate how generative AI is used to write VBA code that improves data manipulation in Excel and guides research initiatives. This session offers practical examples for integrating generative AI to streamline technical tasks and enhance research efforts.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot coding error messages with the help of generative AI.
  • Convert legacy SAS code into modern programming languages like R.
