Higher education is under scrutiny by policymakers, media, and a strong consumer advocacy movement who ask, “Is higher education really worth it?” A partnership between The University of Texas System and the U.S. Census Bureau’s Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) program provides national aggregated salary and debt data of UT graduates by institution and major. Examination of this previously inaccessible data is critical in support of the value of a college degree. In addition, the collaboration provides a pathway for other colleges and universities and state higher education authorities to partner with Census.

As a result of this webinar, participants will: Join representatives from the UT System and the U.S. Census Bureau as they discuss the history leading up to the collaboration, what the data show, and the methodology for calculating wages. The presentation will highlight both the resulting public data set called Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) and seekUT®, a free online tool that provides data to students and families on post-graduation earnings.

A recording of this webinar will be available for 30 days from the time of purchase.
